As much despair as there is in this country today, it must be said that there is indeed another way. We have given up our freedom for the false promises of happiness through the acquisition of things. With no undue reserve, that style of life is BULLSHIT!!!
The “Born in Debt, Die in Debt” economy is not sustainable and the lifestyle or debtstyle (as I like to call it) of the citizens of the US and other countries around the world, that drives the debt economy, has made literal slaves of Americans, as well as people across the globe. Our currency is born in debt, produced by a private bank and sold to our government. Why is a private banking entity producing our currency in the first place? The citizens should control and issue the currency. Our Government is a ridiculous joke, and almost a parody of itself. We can no longer look to the government for solutions because they believe the best idea is to produce more counterfeit currency and throw it at the ultra wealthy and the elite. I don’t tend to agree with this idea.
In an age where we have such incredible opportunity to develop a society for the future, everyone is just going in circles. I say we should resort to a cross or hybrid between Cooperative Communal Villages - Agrarian Autonomous Collectives - Representative Technocracy. I know that sounds like allot of BS as well…so I will elaborate / explain.
The living centers are the Cooperative Communal Villages. These villages/towns are designed to produce all of the necessities of food, through intensive and advanced agriculture and livestock management. Lumber and other basic goods will be produced on the basis of the type of natural resources that are locally available . Energy production will consist of mixed combinations of modern alternative and renewable energy resources, such as passive and active solar, wind, small scale hydro, geothermal, agro-biofuels, etc., basically, whatever combinations of energy production that are most suited to the particular area. These villages/towns will be populated with the appropriate number of specialists and residents to provide for the most efficient operations. Staple crops and sustenance will be the primary effort, with high value crops for sale or trade as a secondary focus. Animals will be raised on the basis of lifecycle vs nutritional value, with attention paid to the by-product or associated value, such as cows and leather, rabbits and fur etc. Everything that can be utilized or that has a resource value must be used for the most efficient purpose. Local Legislature and Enforcement will be the responsibility of the village, according to guidelines set down by mass consensus.
The Agrarian Autonomous Collectives, would have several Villages under management (current thinking is 8 to 16 sites), and would manage exchange or trade of goods between villages, other collectives and the outside. The Collective would manage legislature and enforcent at the collective level, but decisions must be radified by the village counsels held within the collective. The Collectives are essentially comprised of elected members of each village.
The Representative Technocracy is the researcy and development wing of this entire assemblage and is a binding net if you will that manages the exchange of knowledge and research within the villages and collectives, and also presents opportunities to the residents of the villages and collectives for the sale or trade of technology to the outside.
This is but one “spitball” idea, but it is managable, it is a non currency society. Every contributing resident is housed, clothed, fed, provided healthcare and the basic comforts. Contributions may be labor, land, outside resources or any combination of the same. A commitment must be made by anyone who would join a village.
